The Owner’s Details Belong Somewhere Else
22 May 2026Take the Listing System to the Dock
4 June 2026A custom software discussion is more useful when it starts with the existing tools. Otherwise, the brief can spend weeks describing functionality that the brokerage already has through a commercial service.
For this review we examined public product documentation from Boats Group. It is a feature overview based on vendor sources, not an independent performance test or a complete market comparison. Documentation checked on 9 October 2026; access and current features should be confirmed with the provider.
What the documentation describes
The BoatWizard product page lists inventory management across its marketplaces, lead management and performance reporting. Its public description also includes access to the ProSeller professional network. These are stated product capabilities; the page does not establish how well a particular team uses them.
The ProSeller FAQ explains that the service was formerly called the MLS. It describes searching available boats, printing brochures, sharing listings with clients and connecting with other professional sellers. This places documents and client sharing within a broader selling workflow.
What that means for a custom project
Our interpretation is that the first question should be about the gap, not about rebuilding a familiar screen. The brokerage may need a distinct client relationship structure, documents that follow its own presentation rules, or coordination between sales and another part of the business. Those are hypotheses to test with staff, not conclusions supplied by a vendor feature list.
| Existing capability to inspect | Question for the custom brief |
|---|---|
| Inventory publishing | Which approved record supplies the brokerage’s own website? |
| Client sharing and brochures | What document or approval requirement remains unmet? |
| Lead handling | Where does responsibility for the next action become unclear? |
| Reporting | Which decision cannot the team make with its existing views? |
Have a broker demonstrate each relevant capability using an ordinary working example. Note what can be configured, what requires access to an integration and what still happens elsewhere. Include subscription and provider dependencies in the project discussion without assuming an API is available to every account.
Bilişim Atölyesi builds custom software around those remaining requirements. A useful brief can keep an existing platform in place and connect a smaller custom component to it, or justify a broader system when the evidence supports that choice.
