What Today’s Brokerage Platforms Already Cover
28 May 2026Can Your Team Work When the Connection Drops?
10 June 2026The broker arrives early for a viewing. There is time to check one specification with the person on board. The listing is on a phone, the equipment notes are in a document and the change still needs approval before it reaches the website.
This is an invented working example. Walk through it with your team and the mobile requirements become more concrete than a request to make the system responsive.
08.45 — Find the right record
The broker needs to recognise the vessel quickly. A useful search can use the name, model or stable internal reference. Similar yachts should be distinguishable without opening a long sequence of detail pages. The first screen should show current availability and the relevant contact route.
08.50 — Record a correction
The broker learns that a listed equipment item needs clarification. They should be able to enter a proposed correction against the right field and leave a factual explanation. That does not mean the change should publish immediately. The approval rule still applies away from the office.
A short task-focused form is easier to use here than the complete administration screen. Save the proposal clearly and show whether it reached the server. If a connection problem occurs, the broker needs a dependable indication of what remains unsent.
09.00 — Continue the buyer conversation
After the viewing, the buyer requests a document. The broker needs the approved brochure, not an unreviewed version containing the morning’s correction. A visible document date helps them recognise what they are sharing. The client request belongs with the buyer’s opportunity so a colleague can continue it.
Back at the office, the reviewer sees the proposed correction and its context. The broker can then tell whether a replacement brochure is needed. Mobile capture and editorial approval have done different jobs in the same workflow.
When planning a mobile tool, bring one dockside task from start to finish. Screen size is part of the design. Finding the record, saving the work and continuing it later are the real test.
