What a Useful Software Demo Should Show a Brokerage

Choose the story before the demonstration starts. A returning buyer enquires about a yacht, asks for another option and requests a comparison document. Later, the original yacht becomes unavailable. That gives the supplier a connected sequence to show.

Use invented or appropriately handled records. The point is to understand behaviour, not to expose real client details in a public demonstration.

A five-part agenda

1. Open the incoming enquiry and identify its source and yacht.
2. Find or create the buyer relationship and explain any proposed contact match.
3. Assign the next action, then hand it to another broker.
4. Generate a client selection from approved listing information.
5. Change the yacht’s availability and inspect the conversation and public output.

At each step, ask what the user sees and who can change it. A function that only works with administrator access may not fit the broker’s daily role. The demonstration should use the appropriate working permissions.

Add one untidy example

Submit the enquiry twice, leave an optional specification empty or change an approved value after the first document is generated. Watch how the system handles the difference. A neat sample is useful for orientation; an exception reveals the limits that the team will meet later.

If the supplier cannot show a proposed feature yet, record it as a planned requirement with a review method. A design mockup, a working feature and an idea for a future phase should remain distinguishable in the project notes.

Leave with specific answers

• Which part is already available?
• Which part needs configuration or development?
• Which external service or account access is required?
• What will the team review before accepting the result?

This agenda can be used for existing products and custom development. The useful outcome is a shared understanding of how the brokerage will complete its work. The appearance of a screen is one part of that answer.
