Where Are the Seconds Lost in a Sailing Race?
13 October 2026
From Email Design to Broker Follow-Up in the CRM
15 October 2026A yacht sale creates another set of responsibilities. The registration team needs to know the intended flag, the documents still outstanding, who owns the next action and when a certificate or registration will need attention again.
When those answers sit in separate inboxes, folders and spreadsheets, even a straightforward question takes work: What is still missing from this yacht’s registration file?
We developed Nautique Registry at Bilişim Atölyesi to make that question answerable from one operational record. Built within the DOCK platform, the module connects yacht registration workflows with customer, company, document, task and finance records.
The yacht gives the file its context
A registration file is created against an existing sales record. The buyer comes from the CRM, while the yacht, model, hull number and available production slot information provide a shared reference for the teams involved.
The file can then carry a flag, an assigned owner, a target date and payment information. The registration team works from the same yacht and customer context as the sales team.
Different files need different stages
Required operations are selected for each file. Each stage can be waiting, awaiting documents, planned, in progress, applied for or completed. Operations that are not needed are explicitly marked as such.
| Workflow | Information tracked |
|---|---|
| Company and ownership | Incorporation details, registration number, jurisdiction and ownership records |
| Provisional and permanent registration | Application, approval, commencement and expiry dates, responsible users and documents |
| Survey and tonnage | Scheduling, surveyor, completion date and tonnage certificate tracking |
| Transit log | Document records, validity dates, related tasks and expenses |
| Radio licensing | OFCOM workflow where applicable, licence dates and application status |
| Renewals | Due date, reminder date, status and assigned owner |
The useful answer is more specific than “registration complete”. It identifies the application submitted, the evidence still required and the person responsible for the next action.
Uploaded does not always mean ready
Document checklists are generated from the selected operations. Customer, company, yacht, registration, survey, transit log, radio and finance documents are organised by category.
A checklist item records whether it is required, whether it has been prepared and which uploaded document satisfies it. Completion checks prevent relevant operations from being marked complete when their required documents are missing.
This makes the document archive part of the workflow. A team can see both where a document belongs and why it is outstanding.
Renewal work continues after registration
Completing the initial registration does not close the future renewal calendar. Nautique Registry includes automation that creates tasks against assigned users from recorded deadlines, document expiry dates and renewal schedules.
Some date-based tasks are prepared 60 days before the relevant deadline. Renewal records also use their own selected reminder dates. Upcoming and overdue work appears in the file and in the overview screens.
Collections and costs need separate views
The customer amount, money collected and remaining balance are tracked separately from the expenses associated with the file. Company, registration, survey, transit log and radio costs can be categorised, with receipts attached to the corresponding expense records.
Expenses entered in TRY, EUR, GBP or USD are reported in EUR using the exchange rate recorded with each entry. Teams can review total cost and expected profit by file, while keeping payment status distinct from operational progress.
A working queue and a management view
The overview brings together active files, pending operations, missing documents, overdue tasks, upcoming renewals and outstanding collections. Reports can be filtered by date, flag, responsible user and file status, with CSV export for further analysis.
Access to the module is permission-based and records are scoped to teams. File notes and recorded operational changes provide additional context when work passes between colleagues.
Nautique Registry treats registration work as a yacht-specific operation with a clear owner and a visible next step. It reflects how we approach custom software for brokers, distributors and yacht management teams: connecting sales data with delivery preparation and ongoing support.
